Uvea is basically the middle layer inside the eyes. This layer is also referred as uveal layer or the uveal tract.
The most important fact about this particular layer of the tissues of the eyes is the fact that this layer attracts lots of infections and this layer actually becomes infected by bacterial and viral infections more easily than any other part of the eyes.
Any exposure of the eye to the outer environment due to injury can also give the bacteria and the viruses around an opportunity to infect the uveal layer.
